We do this by having direct contact with individuals from all walks of life. We welcome everyone, regardless of their Race, Economic, Educational, or Cultural background. Whether it’s through Social Media, Live Streaming Platforms, Outreach Events, or In Person. AMEW of the Carolinas desires to impact the Nations with the Gospel of the Prince of Peace, Power, and Love…Jesus The Christ!

TAKEFLIGHT OUTREACH MINISTRY
TakeFlight Outreach Ministry, in partnership with AMEW of the Carolinas, is a faith-based nonprofit 501C3 entity that endeavors to save the lost, the hopeless, and the disenfranchised at any cost. We support those who are homeless, those battling addictions, individuals released from prison, and those citizens who have fallen into crushing poverty. We firmly believe that we are to exemplify the love of Jesus Christ by lending a helping hand, and our resources, in order to assist those who truly want to radically change their lives, and their circumstances. Our goal is for individuals to “Thrive”, live “New Lives” and “TakeFlight”!
Our Outreach Events are led by Pastors’ Ricky Smith and Sumer Bey-Smith, along with Community Volunteers, and the many members of the “A more Excellent Way Nation”
- Our outreach events are held three to four times per year.
- We provide monetary gifts, food, clothes, toiletries, backpacks, blankets, and phone giveaways to the homeless and working poor.
- These outreaches serve to uplift those in need and demonstrate the true love of Jesus Christ by showing the “least of these” that they are no longer invisible or alone.

We desire to impact the nations with the gossip of the Prince of Peace, Power and Love; Jesus the Christ!
Our Mantra is to “Reach the Lost at Any Cost. “We stand on God’s promise in Isaiah 60 verse 22. “The least of these shall become a thousand, a small one, a mighty nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it, in its time.” We need more Destiny Partners to fulfill this all important vision so that individuals and families can experience the love of God’s people through the giving of our time and resources. Remember, according to Proverbs 19 verse 17, “When we give to the poor, we are lending to the Lord”

AMEW NATION
A More Excellent Way Ministry (AMEW) was established in 2016, by Bishop Kevin Bufford and Pastor Ricky Smith. Bishop Kevin Bufford is a native of Bessemer Alabama and has been teaching and serving in ministry for over 25 years. Pastor Ricky Smith is a native of Yemassee South Carolina and has been serving and engaging in street ministry for over 10 years. AMEW is a nation of Believers who are answering the call of God, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, by living, teaching, and serving in the spirit of Excellence.
